Monika Maria Masztafiak
Strategy & Transformation Executive
Fractional / Interim Executive · Strategic Advisor · Executive Sparring Partner
I connect strategy, leadership and change so that they work not only on paper, but above all in the real world of business.
I work with CEOs and boards at the moments when it is time to see wider, order priorities and make the decisions that really matter. Especially when pressure grows and what is at stake is the direction of growth, the effectiveness of the organisation and accountability for results.
I combine experience in managing strategy, marketing, growth and transformation with working closely with leaders and their teams. Depending on the challenge, I join the organisation as a strategic advisor, fractional / interim executive or a partner for demanding conversations and decisions.
I do not stop at recommendations. I help turn strategic choices into concrete actions, engage people and build the conditions for effective delivery.
I work close to decisions. Close to people. Close to the moments that have real consequences for the business.
Because that is where strategy stops being a document.
It becomes a choice followed by accountability and action.

How do I work?
I am a strategist who works with the business.
A mentor who works with responsibility.
And a partner who does not teach theory - only action in reality.
I combine these roles because in practice I see one thing:
Strategy does not work without people. People do not work without decisions.
That is why I do not start with tools. I start by seeing what is really happening in the organisation.
In practice:
- I bring order to chaos
- I set priorities
- I lead to decisions
- I turn strategy into action
It is not about more options.
It is about the right choice.
Because clarity without decisions changes nothing.

What is it like to work with me?
This is not advice from the sidelines.
I work close to the process, the people and the decisions that have real consequences.
I start by seeing the whole picture - what works, what does not and where the organisation is really losing direction. Then I bring order to complexity, priorities and accountability, so that choices can be turned into the way the organisation works.
STRATEGY - what you choose
LEADERSHIP - how you lead people and change
EXECUTION - how you turn decisions into action
Depending on the moment and the organisation's needs, I step in at different levels of involvement:
INTERIM / FRACTIONAL EXECUTIVE
I join the organisation from the inside and share responsibility for direction, decisions and their delivery.
STRATEGIC PARTNER / SHADOW GM
I work closely with the leader or the board, helping to order priorities, choices and the consequences of decisions.
EXECUTIVE 1:1
I work where responsibility grows, decisions get harder and the leader needs an outside perspective.
TEAMS / WORKSHOPS / SPEAKING
I work with teams on the way they think, collaborate and act in real business challenges.
Whatever the role, the goal is the same: more clarity in choices, more accountability in decisions and more strategy in everyday action.

What do I bring to working with leaders and boards?
I see the connections.
I bring together facts and tensions that are often analysed separately.
I simplify complexity.
I put in order what really matters for direction and decisions.
I lead to a choice.
I do not stop at analysis. I turn it into a decision and action.

How do I connect strategy, people and execution?
Strategy does not work without people.
People do not act without decisions.
And decisions do not happen in presentations - they happen in tension, under pressure and in everyday choices.
That is why I work where strategy, leadership and change have to meet in reality - not in theory.

Outside work
Outside work I choose the moments when I can slow down and step out of my role. That is where clarity comes back - the clarity we so often look for in business.
I breathe photography and travel.
I like experimenting in the kitchen - sometimes it ends in great jams, although I never remember the recipe.
I try to keep up with the pace of my children and a border collie (with mixed results), though I can still handle 10 km.
And I write.
Because writing puts thoughts in order the same way a good strategy puts reality in order.

When pressure and the cost of wrong choices grow, you need a partner who sees the whole picture, not just a fragment.

This is not work "on strategy".
The longer I work with leaders and teams, the more I see that the problem very rarely starts with a lack of competence.
People know a lot. Companies have strategies. Teams work really hard.
And yet there comes a moment when everything starts to matter at once. There are more and more decisions, fewer and fewer conversations, and the organisation starts to lose not its pace, but its sense of direction.
I know these moments well, because for years I moved very fast myself. I led teams, projects and changes that could not "fail", and I made decisions under heavy pressure.
And perhaps that is why today, more than in perfect strategies, I believe in the courage to pause for a moment. Not to slow down, but to see our direction and our goal clearly again.
Sometimes the most important conversation in an organisation starts with a simple question: do we still really know where we are running? And we are running very fast, with no time for anything, like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
These are not easy moments. They require uncompromising honesty, courage and the readiness to step outside our own well-worn patterns. But that is where the best decisions most often begin.
Before we move faster, it is worth pausing wisely first.

Working with me is more than strategy. It is understanding the business and the people.
In business, results matter. In a partnership, so does the way we get to them.
